Worst Case Scenario Exploration

  • Goal: Make problems visible and encourage to design solutions for found issues
  • Result: Scenario with a matrix of possible problems and ideas for possible solutions
  • Execute with experts on the user group and related scenarios like Experts: Social Workers, Teachers, Parents/Guardians, Designers
    • Make an inventory of known scenario’s that went wrong for known collaboration platforms
    • Explore together how the product prevented / worsened  the known scenario
    • Determine the impact for each actor in the scenario
    • Brainstorm/Conceptualize possible solutions for each Risk/Effect combination
    • Especially useful for a safe exploration of otherwise harmful scenarios for vulnerable user groups
    • Applies to all age ranges
